Casual, contemporary Maine dining with an emphasis on the New American Menu in an authentic, old world rusticator atmosphere.
Join us for dinner Tuesday - Saturday at 5 PM. Please be seated before 8:00 pm.
Reservations are encouraged. Best to make your dinner reservation as early as possible before your desired dining day and time. It is a busy year in Maine’s restaurant world! We do not use an online reservation system.

Be prepared to give your name, the day, time, number of persons and your phone number.
We do accept walk-ins if we have space.
For reservations made at least 24 hours in advance, your reservation will be met. We will confirm with a text. For same-day reservations, we will do our best to honor your reservation, but may need to slightly adjust your reservation time. Again, we will confirm with a text.
For parties of 6 or more, please call 207-422-3395 with reservation details instead. We’ll confirm with a return call.
About the Restaurant
Chef Matthew Hickey and our team have creatively combine elevated American fare with global accents and plentiful seafood options.
Social distancing is what we do in Downeast Maine. It’s a lifestyle thing already. At Ironbound, we have lots of space with no crowding for your safety and comfort in both the restaurant and inn rooms.
We’re located on two curated acres surrounded by conservation land.
Seating Options
Dining can be experienced in several ways:
Eat outside under the pines with ongoing insect control and ambient evening lighting.
Dine inside in our spacious dining rooms with generous table spacing.
Black Fly Beer Garden opens at 3pm Wed-Sat. Great selection of Maine beers and light bites.,
With parties of more than 6 guests we do not do separate checks.
Reserve now for your special event! We specialize in rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, retirement parties and other celebration gatherings.
Thankfully, after these long few years we can rejoice in being together again while breaking bread as we gather while celebrating all that we do have! We are looking forward to reconnecting with everyone! And making new friends!
The Inn
The inn offers comfort and privacy with a casual, upscale vibe.
Our cozy inn rooms have king-size beds, luxury bathrooms, and private decks where social distancing has always been part of what we offer.
We border on a conservation holding with hiking trails that are great to explore for a morning walk before enjoying a healthy, light breakfast. Join us for dinner in our acclaimed restaurant. Finish the day snuggled next to the evening fire under the stars before retiring for the night.
