Open 7 days a week in the summer season, Ironbound Inn offers a wonderful Maine lodging experience where our comfortable and welcoming rooms await you after a day exploring Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, or the Schoodic Section of Acadia near Winter Harbor.
If you are traveling from Canada or southern Maine, Ironbound Inn is a welcome respite from a day of traveling where our inviting inn rooms and downstairs restaurant welcome you.
Our restaurant offers a creative menu of modern, American cuisine from appetizers to dinner salads to comfort food to full entrees.
The bar and outside dining area adjoins the restaurant to satisfy “your tired and your hungry.”

Rooms & Amenities
Ironbound Inn has beautifully appointed rooms where both old world luxury and today’s casual lifestyles merge with comfortable furnishings and interesting decor.
Each room has king-sized beds with plush bedding and is accessed through its own locked door from an outside, second floor deck. All guest rooms have en suite bathrooms, all of which are appointed with quality fixtures, lighting, and plush towels.
All rooms have a private bath, thermostatically controlled air conditioning and heat, and comfortable chairs for relaxing. Interesting artwork and decorative objects adorn the walls.
A continental fare of freshly brewed coffee and quality teas, cereals, blueberry or other muffins, and yogurt is available from 8-9:30 a.m.

An electric car-charging station is available to all of our guests. Users simply log on with the app to sign up.
No in-room television.

Our comfortable downstairs common areas both inside the restaurant or outside is where guests can relax over food and drink. It’s an inviting space to socialize with other guests. Or quietly be by yourself.
Start your day by sitting outside on the deck with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, and enjoy a summer morning in Maine overlooking the towering white pine trees and tended, manicured gardens.
After a day of exploring, bask in the late afternoon sun under the canopy of towering pines with a libation from our restaurant bar.
The property adjoins the Crabtree Neck Conservation Trust where a network of quiet walking trails take you into old growth woods with lush ferns, moss, and an abundance of birds which is a wonderful place to begin or end your day.
End the day under the stars snuggled next to an outside fire.
